Do I need insurance to use Chalice Health?

Chalice Health welcomes both insured and uninsured patients. We accept Nebraska Medicaid and work with a wide range of insurance providers. If your insurance includes telehealth coverage, you may have a $0 copay, regardless of whether you are in-network or out-of-network. Our goal is to ensure affordability and transparency in our pricing options. In fact, our pricing is typically lower than most copays. Our aim is to provide accessible healthcare services to all individuals, regardless of their insurance status.

 

Can Chalice Health prescribe medications?

Yes, Chalice Health providers can prescribe medications when deemed medically necessary during your telehealth consultation. Our healthcare professionals follow best practices and guidelines to ensure safe and appropriate prescribing.

 

How do I access my medical records?

Chalice Health provides patients with secure access to their medical records through our online portal. You can easily view and download your medical records, test results, and treatment plans for your convenience.

 

What technology do I need for a telehealth consultation?

Can I choose my preferred healthcare provider at Chalice Health?

Yes, Chalice Health allows patients to select their preferred healthcare provider when scheduling an appointment, based on availability. We believe in the importance of building a trusted relationship between patients and providers. All of our providers are exceptional and have over 13 years of experience in healthcare.

 

How long are the telehealth consultations?

The duration of telehealth consultations at Chalice Health may vary depending on the nature of the appointment and the complexity of your medical concerns. Generally, consultations can range from 10 to 30 minutes, allowing ample time for a thorough evaluation and discussion with your healthcare provider.

 

Is telehealth suitable for all medical conditions?

Telehealth can address a wide range of medical conditions and concerns. However, there may be certain cases that require an in-person examination or specialized diagnostic tests. Our healthcare providers will evaluate your specific situation and determine if a telehealth consultation is appropriate or if a referral to an in-person visit is necessary.

 

What if I need follow-up care or additional appointments?

How can I pay for Chalice Health services?

Chalice Health accepts various forms of payment, including major credit cards and debit cards, HSA, and FSA  We also offer transparent pricing options for all patients, allowing for affordable access to healthcare services. Our payment process is secure and user-friendly.

 

Are there any upfront fees or hidden charges?

No, we believe in transparency. The fees for our telehealth services are clearly communicated to you during the appointment booking process, and there are no hidden charges.

 

Can I request a refund if I am not satisfied with the telehealth consultation?

We strive to provide the highest quality care, but if you are not satisfied with your consultation, please contact our customer support team within a specified timeframe. They will assess your situation and determine if a refund is applicable.

 

What is the refund policy for canceled or missed appointments?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please inform us at least 15 mins  in advance to avoid any charges. For missed appointments without prior notice, refunds may not be applicable, however, patients are encouraged to reschedule their appointment for another suitable date & time. 

If you are unable to see/talk to a healthcare provider due to us, you will get refunded 100%.

 

How long does it take to process a refund?

Once a refund is approved, it typically takes 5-7 business days for the funds to be returned to your original payment method. However, the exact timeline may vary depending on your financial institution.

 

Can I use Chalice Health if I live outside of the United States?

Currently, Chalice Health’s telehealth services are available to patients located within the United States (currently in Nebraska, Iowa and Texas). We are committed to expanding our reach in the future to provide healthcare services to individuals around the world.

 

Is Chalice Health suitable for pediatric patients?

Yes, Chalice Health offers telehealth services for pediatric patients (newborn to 17 years). We have healthcare providers experienced in providing care for children and can address a variety of pediatric medical concerns through virtual consultations.

 

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel your appointment through the Chalice Health platform. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we strive to provide flexibility in managing your appointments. Please see our rescheduling or cancellation policy in our patient intake form.

 

Is Chalice Health available 24/7?

Chalice Health has flexible hours to accommodate patients’ needs. However, our availability may vary based on the schedules of our healthcare providers. We strive to offer convenient appointment options throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. Due to our healthcare providers availability, Chalice Health is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. 

 

Is my personal information kept confidential and secure?

At Chalice Health, we prioritize the privacy and security of our patients’ personal information. We adhere to strict HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of your data. Our platform utilizes robust encryption and security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

 

Can I receive prescriptions through Chalice Health?

Yes, Chalice Health providers can prescribe medications when necessary. If a prescription is required, it can be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy for convenient pickup or delivery.

Chalice Health partners with NuCara Pharmacy that mails out medication to patients. You may select that option or inform your provider during your consultation visit.

 

Can I use Chalice Health if I already have a primary care provider?

Yes, you can still utilize Chalice Health’s telehealth services even if you have an existing primary care provider. Our virtual consultations can provide additional convenience and accessibility for your healthcare needs, especially for non-emergency situations or when your primary care provider is unavailable.

 

Is telehealth covered by insurance?

Telehealth coverage varies depending on your insurance plan. Some insurance providers cover telehealth services, while others may have specific requirements or limitations. Chalice Health accepts all insurances including in-network and out-network plans. Check your insurance plan to ensure telehealth coverage prior to your visit. Please note, our cash pricing is lower than most insurance copays.

 

What is Medication Therapy Management (MTM)?

MTM is a personalized service provided by pharmacists to help patients optimize their medication use, improve health outcomes, and prevent medication-related problems. It involves a comprehensive review of medications, education on proper medication use, and ongoing monitoring and follow-up.

 

Who can benefit from Medication Therapy Management?

MTM can benefit individuals who take multiple medications, have complex medication regimens, have chronic health conditions, experience medication side effects, or have difficulty adhering to their medication schedule. It is particularly beneficial for older adults, individuals with chronic diseases, and those taking multiple medications.

 

What does a Medication Therapy Management session involve?

During an MTM session, a pharmacist will review your medical history, medication list, and any specific concerns you may have. They will assess the appropriateness of your medications, identify any drug interactions or duplications, and provide recommendations for optimization. The pharmacist will also offer counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and strategies to improve adherence.

 

How often should I have a Medication Therapy Management session?

The frequency of MTM sessions can vary depending on your needs and the complexity of your medication regimen. Typically, an initial session is conducted, followed by periodic follow-ups to monitor progress, address new concerns, or adjust medications as necessary. Chalice Health provides a complimentary FREE initial session to our patients.  

 

Is Medication Therapy Management covered by insurance?

Many insurance plans, including Medicare Part D, cover MTM services. Coverage may vary, so it’s best to check with your specific insurance provider to understand the extent of coverage and any associated costs. Your initial session with our pharmacist is FREE.
